This is the story of Happy Canoe

 At Happy Canoe everything revolves around nature, peace and a unique experience on the water. Our canoes depart from the historic Gennepermolen in Eindhoven, an iconic spot in the middle of the green.

 From there you follow the river Dommel, which winds its way through the southern nature reserve of Eindhoven. A special part of the route even takes you past the High Tech Campus, where nature and technology meet. The contrast between the modern campus and the calm, flowing water makes this trip extra special.

 During your walk you have a great chance to encounter traces of the beaver. These impressive rodents have established themselves firmly along the Dommel in recent years. You can recognize beaver work in the bank, by gnawed trees and sliding traces in the mud. Or with a bit of luck: a beaver itself!

Our mission

At Happy Canoe we want to reconnect people with nature. Even without a phone, without a rush — just together on the water, in silence or in conversation.

Enjoying the moment, the surroundings, and each other. And we do this with respect for all living things: we leave no waste behind and ensure that our trips do not burden nature but strengthen it.
